It's been a while but we're back in style! Apologies that it has been a while since our last post, but things have been crazy busy here lately with all of the amazing things happening on Tinker Air Force Base! So let's recap, we just finished up with the 2017 Star Spangled Salute Air Show. Being associated with the Air Force means you occasionally see a plane or two (haha), but on May 20 & 21, some not so average planes took the stage. They zipped through the sky and nailed death defying stunts as masses of (sunburnt) people cheered and snapped pictures. It was an absolutely stunning display for all Oklahomans.
Now if you missed this event there is no need to fret! FSS has a lot planned for the upcoming summer months. The first of which is going to be the Great Campout! It's going to be "in tents!" Get it, like intense but camping. Anyway, you'll want to bring your tent, swimsuit, and sense of wonder for the great outdoors. There will be a pool party/dive-in movie, campfire, kids activities, and so much s'more! (:D) The event will take place on June 9 starting at 4:30 p.m. at the ALS Soccer Fields. No tent? No Problem. Call Outdoor Rec at 405.734.5875 to rent one.
